On happiness: What makes you happy?

Give a gift to everyone you meet is one. Start each day with great expectation is another. These are two habits that will make you happier, so says Geoffrey James, author of a book called Business to Business Selling: Power Words and Strategies From the World's Top Sales, in an article called 9 Habits That Will Make You Happier. (You can read these tips HERE.) When it comes to happiness, experts say it helps to have a forgiving heart, and I think I agree with that personally. I guess that's because holding a grudge on anyone does nothing to improve your outlook in life but instead weighs your down.

If you want to know more tips on how to be happy, you do not need to look far. Just go to Google, type how to be happy and search. The secret, I believe, is to focus on realistic goals and happiness will surely come.

Meanwhile here are some tips on how to be happy:

“Count your age by friends, not years. Count your life by smiles, not tears.”
- John Lennon

“The best way to cheer yourself is to try to cheer someone else up."
- Mark Twain

“Man only likes to count his troubles; he doesn't calculate his happiness.”
- Fyodor Dostoyevsky

“Those who are not looking for happiness are the most likely to find it, because those who are searching forget that the surest way to be happy is to seek happiness for others.”
- Martin Luther King, Jr.

Never let a bad day make you feel like you have a bad life.
