This month's lecture is about Social Media in Brand Development by Japheth Omojuwa. Omojuwa is a blogger. He runs omojuwa.com and has close to 50 thousand followers on Twitter(a number not yet attained by any Nigerian who's not a musician) he tweets and blogs for a living and is paid 100,000 to post just one tweet for corporate organizations. His tweets and blogs reaches about 500,000 people(from replies and tweets). This has made him a force to be reckoned with in the social media world here in Nigeria.
ALS meets every, 1st Friday of the month at Transcorp Hilton Hotel, 7p.m; Second Friday @ Silverbird Entertainment Centre Abuja 7pm, Third Fridays @ Salamander Cafe, Abuja; BookJam holds every Last Friday of the month at Silverbird Entertainment Centre Abuja 6pm; Abuja Poetry Slam (performance Poetry competition) holds in March, June, September, and the Grand Slam will be in December. Special Guest writers will normally feature at the First Friday readings @ the Hilton. Special workshops, retreats and exchanges are part of our programmes.
