The Paradigm-City Publishing Ltd, Abuja, in collaboration with the global writers’ body, PEN, Nigeria chapter, invites Nigerians and Non-Nigerians alike, poets and non-poets alike, to participate in the first phase of its City Poems Project, by contributing poems on their encounters with, and, experience of life in all its stratified and rich diversity, in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT.
Each contributor is expected to send poems of not more than 2 (two) quarto pages (preferably, the shorter the better), for the proposed anthology, titled, ”ABUJA: CITY OF UNITY”, not later than the 31st of August 2012. Send contributions to citypoemsproject@gmail.com.
The best poems selected will be published, while the best ten (10) poems will be honored specially at the public presentation of ABUJA: CITY OF UNITY, later this year.
Contributors are free to send poems on ANY aspect of life in this ever growing metropole. Each contributor is expected to include a resume of not more than five (5) lines. The author of each published entry is entitled to a copy of the book as honorarium.
The Series Editor of the City Poems Project is Mrs. Dayo Benjamin Laniyi , CEO, DOXA DIGITAL, Abuja, while Denja Abdullai, poet and culture facilitator, is Associate Editor, ABUJA:CITY OF UNITY Anthology.
