ASOHOM International Charity Bazaar to take place in Abuja on October 13, 2012 - at the Sheraton Hotel

I just received the poster for the International Charity Bazaar organised annually by the Association of Spouses of Heads of Mission (ASOHOM).  The event takes place this year at Sheraton Abuja Hotel on the 13th of October from 10:00am to 4:00pm.

The ASOHOM BAZAAR is one of the most exciting events in Abuja during the year, so be sure to be there.  Great prizes to be won at the raffle draw including the following:

Indonesians celebrate National Day at the ambassador's residence in Abuja

Members of the Indonesian community in Abuja and the diplomatic staff of the Embassy of Indonesia, headed by H.E. Ambassador Haseng and his wife, were joined by guests in well-wishers at the ambassador's residence in Maitama, Abuja, on Wednesday last week, the 29th of September 2012, to mark the National Day of Indonesia.

Today, the 26th of August 2012, is exactly one year since the bombing of the United Nations (UN) building in Abuja which claimed several lives and shattered the peace of our country. As I reflect on the past one year I cannot but thank God for many things which happened to me during the period. I woke up to find myself in a London hospital surrounded by love from friends arounding my bed and their pictures and lovely posters on the walls in the intensive care unit. One of the posters had two puppies squashed in a saucepan and it read “We Are All In This Together”. Philippine Embassy's annual celebration of Eid al Fitr is held at Usman Dam, in the outskirts of Abuja

At the invitation of the Embassy of the Philippines in Nigeria, INSIDE TRACK ABUJA joined several members of the Filipino community in the FCT for the annual celebration of Eid El Fitr on August 21, 2012, at the Usman Dam, about 30 minutes drive from the city centre.
